LIKBF Tournament Series
OVERVIEW — LIKBF Members can put their skills to the test against other kayak bass anglers on the tournament level. LIKBF Elite Series Tournaments are qualifying events for the LIKBF Tournament Of Champions & KBF National Championship!
In order to compete in our Elite Series Tournament's, you must become an LIKBF Member. As a Kayak Bass Fishing partner club, you can use any one of our club tournaments as a qualification tournament to compete in the Kayak Bass Fishing National Championship. If you are new to the LIKBF club, you may compete in any one of our Open Tournaments as a Guest. If you wish to compete in an LIKBF Elite Series tournament as your first Tournament, than you must pay club dues prior to the event. LIKBF hosts an OPEN Tournament prior to the Elite Series Trail, which is open to anyone and does not require membership. This is recommended that you participate in first as it will count as your guest tournament, and you also will have the opportunity to win a free membership for that year!
Entry Fee's for our Elite Series Tournaments range from $50-75 depending on location tournament type and ramp fee's if applicable. Membership fee for LIKBF is $100 annually.
Elite Series Tournament Payouts depend on the percentage of anglers that sign up. LIKBF takes 20% of total registrations and the rest is put into the prize pool.
IE: If 10 Anglers sign up, only 1st will be paid, 11-19 First, Second and Third, will be paid, 20 or more, 1st threw 5th will be paid.
LIKBF Angler of the Year Points will be awarded according to performance to every LIKBF Member who registers to compete in Elite Series Tournaments. First Place earns 100 AOY Points, Second place 99, Third 98, and so on, dropping by 1 point with each step down in rank. This goes down to everyone who caught and submitted a fish. If you happen to not submit fish, you will be awarded 50 points for the event for participation. At the end of the season your Angler of the Year stats will be totaled of your best 5 Tournaments and you will drop your two lowest. (7 Tournaments Total)
LIKBF Tournament Of Champions - The winner of each Elite Series Tournament will qualify to compete in the TOC the following season, As well as winning the Elimination Series, Team Series, Angler of the Year for the season, The Summer-Slam and Spring Fling Tournaments.
Hourly Big Bass - is an optional Big Bass Prize pool that is $20 to enter and awards prize money for the biggest bass submitted every hour of the tournament, and a prize for the overall biggest bass submitted in the event. This is optional to compete in and is not required, but it is fun!
Big Bass Trophy - If you catch the biggest Bass of the season in our Elite Series Tournaments, you will be awarded the Big Bass Trophy for that season.
LIKBF Members competing in LIKBF Elite Series and Team Series tournaments earn points based on their ranking in each event.
For ranking in the Elite Series, LIKBF counts the top five (5) scores from Elite Series Tournaments. We fish a total of seven (7) tournaments and you drop your two lowest scored tournaments.
For ranking in the Team Series, LIKBF counts the top five (5) scores from each Team Series Tournament. We fish six (6) tournaments and your team will drop the lowest scored tournament
Angler of the Year and Team of the Year will be announced at the conclusion of the Elite and Team Series tournaments at the end of the season.
Angler of the Year Eligibility
Only LIKBF Members may earn Angler of the Year points in the LIKBF Elite Series Trail.
LIKBF AOY Points are awarded only for registering and competing in LIKBF Elite Series Trail.
Competitor must have paid his/her LIKBF Membership Dues no later than the event registration deadline. Joining LIKBF on the day of an event is too late to earn points at that event.
Limited to new LIKBF Members who have not participated in LIKBF Elite Series Competition prior to the season. That means no Elite Series tournaments before December of that year they paid membership.
